PULP FICTION
Pulp Fiction è senza ombra di dubbio uno dei più importanti capolavori del cinema degli anni 90’, ed una delle punte di diamanti della florida carriera del regista italo americano Quentin Tarantino. La pellicola si struttura in più capitoli, che ripercorrono alcune storie diverse, ma intrecciate tra loro. L’abile mano della regia tesse le fila di una trama accattivante, seppur non imponente, sfruttando alcuni dei volti più noti del grande schermo; nella pellicola, infatti ,compaiono attori del calibro di John Travolta, all’epoca rimasto in una zona d’ombra, Uma Thurman, celebre volto di un altro capolavoro di tarantino (Kill Bill I e II) e Samuel L. Jackson, importante volto della saga Avengers. L’imponenza dell’opera cinematografica è data dalla straordinaria capacità di Tarantino di congiungere in un solo film più realtà, sfumandole tra loro e amalgamandole al fine di ottenere il composto migliore. Guardando questo film, vestiremo i panni di una giovane coppia, intenta a rapinare una tavola calda, ma anche quelli di un sicario che porta a cena la moglie del capo, così come gli era stato ordinato, finendo per provarne affetto. Ci perderemo nei silenzi di Mia Wallace, e saremo catapultati insieme a loro sulla pista da ballo.
Non potremo, inoltre, dimenticarci del versetto 25:17 di Ezechiele, recitato alla perfezione dal criminale Jules Winnfield, accompagnato da Vincent Vega, intento a recuperare una valigetta dal contenuto misterioso. Inoltre, l’orgoglio del pugile Butch, che rifiuta di perdere un incontro per soldi, gli costerà molto caro. Il concept cinematografico dietro questa pellicola riprende quello del primo grande capolavoro del suo regista: “Le iene”. (Il film, uscito nel 1992, merita sicuramente un approfondimento in un altro numero di Cult Movies).
