Il vicequestore Rocco Schiavone, interpretato da Marco Giallini, è il protagonista di una delle più importanti fiction di casa Rai. Le prime due puntate della quarta stagione andranno in onda il 17 ed il 24 marzo alle 21:30 su Rai2.

La magnifica Valle D’Aosta:
La Valle d’Aosta è una regione magica. Tra paesaggi innevati, strade suggestive, casinò, multiculturalismo e intriganti storie, è l’ambientazione perfetta per una serie dalle premesse tutt’altro che perfette. Rocco Schiavone è il tipico antieroe: burbero nei modi, facilmente irritabile, dalla moralità non sempre limpida e convenzionale e con il vizio patologico del fumo. È questo, però, che lo rende vero, tangibile e vicino.
Le polemiche:
È proprio questo realismo che ha generato, in particolar modo nelle vecchie generazioni, polemiche e indignazioni: Rocco Schiavone è un consumatore accanito di Marijuana: la usa per rilassarsi, anche in ufficio, quando i colleghi non lo disturbano. Perfino il modo in cui la reperisce non è eticamente corretto, così come le sue tecniche di indagine, che più volte hanno trovato disapprovazione da parte del Pubblico Ministero e del Questore.
I fantasmi:
La moglie di Rocco, venuta a mancare anni prima, è un pensiero costante per lui. La vede in ogni cosa che fa, le parla, gli racconta le sue giornate e con lei intrattiene siparietti interessanti. La progressiva elaborazione del lutto, la dannazione di non poter fare niente e la continua ricerca dell’effimero, anche dal punto di vista sessuale, contribuiscono a delineare i tratti di un personaggio distrutto che ha bisogno di ridare un senso alla sua vita.
La nostalgia:
Rocco è romano nel sangue. Dopo alcune vicende, viene trasferito dalla questura di Roma ad Aosta. Per uno come lui, abituato alla confusione, al movimento, ai rapporti carnali e passionali, il trasferimento rappresenta una vera e propria piaga. Solo con il passare del tempo inizierà ad apprezzare una città, che però non gli apparterrà mai. Gli amici di una vita sono in continuo contatto con lui: Furio, Sebastiano e Brizio.
La Questura:
Ogni puntata sviluppa un caso diverso. I suoi compagni di avventura, i colleghi, posseggono personalità diverse ed interessanti, che si apprezzeranno solo con il tempo. Per potersi fidare di loro, Rocco ha bisogno di conoscerli intimamente. Lo spettatore viene immerso lentamente nella routine della Questura perché, proprio come il protagonista, deve iniziare ad ambientarsi.
