Sono gli effetti dell’ultima delibera in tema di navigazione sicura dell’Autorità garante delle comunicazioni (Agcom). Da un punto di vista più tecnico l’AgCom ha deciso di rafforzare lo strumento del parental control, una serie di filtri che vengono messi a disposizione dei genitori per controllare il comportamento su internet degli utenti minorenni. I filtri per il parental control servono per limitare la visualizzazione di contenuti ritenuti dannosi per il minore. I filtri per il parental control delle principali compagnie telefoniche riguarderanno otto ambiti: Pornografia, Gioco d’azzardo, Violenza, Armi, Odio e discriminazione, Portali che supportano la bulimia e l’anoressia, Portali che permettono la navigazione in incognito, infine l’ottava categoria si chiama “Sette” e include: “Siti che promuovono o che offrono metodi, mezzi di istruzione o altre risorse per influire su eventi reali attraverso l’uso di incantesimi, maledizioni, poteri magici o essere soprannaturali”. La stretta dell’Agcom non sarebbe dovuta arrivare, perché, in teoria, tutte le società di telefonia avrebbero dovuto fornire agli utenti servizi di parental control completi e gratuiti già dal 2020. Tuttavia, il sistema non ha funzionato come previsto e l’Autorità è stato costretta a intervenire per uniformare e assicurare che il servizio venga attivato senza costi o altri problemi. In base a quanto si legge sulla delibera il problema è stato affrontato, una volta per tutte, alla radice. Questo tipo di filtri in realtà sono sempre esistiti, la differenza è che dall’applicazione della delibera i filtri saranno impostati di default sulle Sim acquistate dai minori. Per disattivare il servizio, una volta raggiunti i diciotto anni, sarà sufficiente fare domanda al proprio operatore tramite le proprie credenziali del Sistema pubblico di identità digitale (Spid), tramite un codice pin fornito via sms, attraverso l’autenticazione nell’area riservata del sito dell’operatore telefonico, oppure tramite una one time password (Otp), cioè una password usa e getta inviata via mail o sms. Tramite le stesse modalità sarà anche possibile richiedere l’attivazione del parental control sulle sim card intestate alle persone maggiorenni.
