L’ultimo giorno del II Salone del libro di Portici, edizione “Libri in viaggio”, è arrivato anche Maurizio De Giovanni. L’autore di fama nazionale ha presentato il suo romanzo, “Caminito”, accompagnato dal sindaco di Portici Vincenzo Cuomo, la preside Iolanda Giovidelli del liceo Quinto Orazio Flacco e la giornalista Anna Copertino. La conferenza è stata aperta con un tango.
Dopo la presentazione, abbiamo rivolto all’autore alcune domande

<<La scelta di far sparire il commissario non è stata facile, ma è dipesa soprattutto dagli anni in cui sta vivendo: l’Italia, nel ’34, è nel pieno del ventennio fascista, un periodo buio per tutto il paese, dunque non sapevo se fosse giusto riportarlo o meno. Ma Ricciardi mi ha parlato, affermando, giustamente, che, come noi siamo liberi di vivere il nostro presente, anche lui deve vivere il suo. Questo periodo si rispecchia anche negli stati d’animo dei personaggi, con un Ricciardi più freddo, seppur appena diventato padre; proprio questo lo condiziona d’altronde, nel momento in cui sua figlia Marta sembra non aver preso nulla da sua madre.
La scelta di un’ ambivalenza fra Napoli e l’Argentina è dovuta proprio al senso di appartenenza che accomuna questi due luoghi, una corrispondenza unica, proprio come la composizione parallela della canzone “Caminito”. Anche da un punto di vista climatico passa la correlazione Argentina – Napoli: ad aprile, nel paese sudamericano il tempo è cupo, freddo, mentre a Napoli (proprio come si nota nella scena iniziale nella reggia di Portici) il periodo è luminoso e bello,
Poiché da pochi giorni è purtroppo giunta notizia della morte di D’Alatri, regista della serie “Bastardi di Pizzofalcone” e de “Il commissario Ricciardi”, abbiamo chiesto a De Giovanni cosa ha lasciato questo grande regista. <<Alessandro D’Alatri era innanzitutto un mio amico, sensibile e sempre disponibile; ma era anche un genio, in grado di interpretare i personaggi con una capacità unica, consegnandogli anche una profondità impressionante. Credo che sotto questo punto di vista possa essere il miglior regista che un autore possa augurarsi>>
E’ noto che Maurizio De Giovanni sia un grande tifoso del Napoli. Visto il grande evento dello scudetto avvenuto due giorni fa, pensa che possa effettivamente restituire ed aggiungere qualcosa alla città di Napoli?
<<Lo scudetto è di per sé un’ulteriore illuminazione per la città, un riflettore in più su un luogo che già tante occasioni, ad esempio culturali. Ma questa, forse la più grande, è un’occasione che non dobbiamo perdere perché ci potrà dare tanto anche in futuro>>
Cosa ci dice dell’attrice Nunzia Schiano, così legata alla città di Portici?
