La condizione femminile dall’antica Grecia ai progressi dei nostri tempi
Jannis Korinthios, madrelingua e studioso di lingua e cultura greca, ha presentato, al salone del libro di Portici, il suo ultimo libro: “da Lisia ai moderni: il delitto d’onore e la condizione femminile”. Il libro riprende l’orazione lisiana, “per la morte di Eratostene”, e la analizza in chiave moderna sfruttando la straordinaria attualità della materia trattata. Il sofista Lisia descrive con una sfumatura ironica il tradimento di una moglie nei confronti del marito, Eufileto, un uomo semplice e ingenuo, che avendone scoperta l’infedeltà, assassina l’amante. L’analisi si sviluppa lungo il tema della condizione della donna e del delitto d’onore, legge in vigore fino al 1981, che legittima l’uomo a uccidere se coglie in flagrante adulterio la moglie.
Il libro è scritto con la collaborazione di Giuseppe Ferraro e del magistrato Raffaele Marino, al fine di ottenere una competenza specifica in campo giuridico. Il professor Ferraro ha fatto capo a tradizioni e ricorsi storici, raccontando l’agghiacciante cerimonia per l’uccisione della donna in Palestina e l’usanza di intrattenersi con gli ospiti dopo l’esecuzione.
Il magistrato Marino si è invece concentrato sull’evoluzione del ruolo della donna a livello giuridico e sui grandi passi avanti compiuti verso l’uguaglianza di genere, già raggiunta in occidente a livello legale ma non del tutto a livello culturale. La presentazione ha sfondo ironico e intrattenitivo, nella lettura dei passi, ma lancia al contempo un messaggio importante, uno sguardo verso il futuro, con l’obiettivo di renderlo migliore per tutti. Perché come dimostra il magistrato Raffaele Marino, la storia è cambiata quando le donne si sono ribellate: “se non fosse nato il movimento femminista, non sarebbe mai cambiata la nostra cultura, né la nostra legge.”
