Era il 16 agosto del 1972 quando al largo delle coste di Riace, in Calabria, dopo una
segnalazione del sub Stefano Mariottini, i Carabinieri riportavano alla luce le due
statue uniche al mondo. I Bronzi di Riace, recentemente candidati come bene
UNESCO, saranno per i restanti mesi del 2022 al centro di una nuova narrazione
della Calabria contemporanea, che ne approfitterà per raccontarsi all’Italia e al
mondo. Un racconto di arte, cultura e bellezza, attraverso il cinema, convegni e
mostre, installazioni artistiche e anche street art. Un insieme di eventi e azioni
promosse dalla Regione Calabria con la partecipazione di partner d’eccezione:
ministero della Cultura, Calabria Film Commission e molti altri. Da luglio a settembre
verrà rilanciata la rete museale regionale grazie a una serie di incontri che uniranno
mapping, visual e digitale ma anche teatro, archeologia pubblica e approfondimenti
scientifici. Da ottobre a novembre, invece, la Calabria avrà l’occasione di farsi
conoscere anche in Italia e nel resto d’Europa, attraverso racconti e interventi
artistici a partire dal Cubo Stage ovvero un’istallazione artistica di un cubo di 4 metri
per lato la quale sarà accompagnata da proiezioni video e animazioni visive. Sarà
inoltre proposta per la prima volta un’esposizione virtuale sulla Magna Grecia
attraverso l’aiuto della realtà aumentata. I Bronzi di Riace saranno protagonisti a
ottobre su Rai Cultura con una puntata speciale dell’ottava serie di “Viaggio nella
Bellezza”, e a dicembre su Rai Play in prima serata su Rai3, con una puntata speciale
di “Ossi di Seppia”. Diverse poi le produzioni audiovisive in programma: il docufilm “I
Bronzi di Riace”, prodotto da PALOMAR con la regia di Fabio Mollo e la
sceneggiatura di Armando Maria Trotta, Giuseppe Smorto, Massimo Razzi. Il teatro
si fa centrale grazie a diversi spettacoli e letture come quello dell’“Adriana
Lecrouvere” che andrà in scena il mese di novembre al teatro Cilea. Per l’intero
periodo estivo una mostra a cielo aperto di archeologia pubblica e una serie di
appuntamenti nella città di Riace, che si trasformerà in palcoscenico con tanto di
mostra fotografica, convegno storico-culturale, concerti ed eventi musicali.
