1971 con protagonista Gene Wilder nelle vesti dell’acclamato cioccolatiere nato tra
le pagine di Roald Dahl. Ora, però, anche Timothée Chalamet che lo interpreta ha
rivelato qual è il collegamento diretto tra i due film. Ai microfoni di Complex,
Chalamet ha rivelato il collegamento che i fan dovranno aspettarsi dal prequel:
”Questo film completa perfettamente quello di Gene Wilder del 1971. La tavolozza
dei colori. E poi la canzone Pure Imagination che è uno dei pezzi centrali del nostro
film così come lo è stato nel film di Wilder. Quindi sembra davvero la storia di un

cresciuto con il film di Gene Wilder e sono un grandissimo ammiratore della versione
di Tim Burton/Johnny Depp. Questa versione è diversa, racconta le origini di Wonka.
Non è Charlie e la fabbrica di cioccolato. La gente è sempre prevenuta quando si
rivisitano personaggi amati, ma credo che Paul King, il nostro regista, ci sia riuscito
alla grande. Il film arriverà in Italia il 14 dicembre 2023.
