Il 19 febbraio scorso, in anteprima, nelle sale cinematografiche è arrivato il docufilm dedicato al celebre e amato attore partenopeo, Massimo Troisi, scomparso nel 1994. La data scelta da Mario Martone, regista e ideatore del progetto, insieme ad Anna Pavignano, compagna di vita e di lavoro di Massimo, non è casuale: proprio il 19 febbraio 2023, infatti, Massimo avrebbe compiuto il suo settantesimo compleanno.
Il docu-film, prodotto da Indiana con Vision Distribution e Medusa Film, è stato distribuito in Italia da Medusa e Vision, ma si prepara a varcare i confini nazionali forte del successo di pubblico e critica che sta registrando. Il film racconta di testimonianze inedite, propone contenuti ancora poco noti e, soprattutto, consente di ricostruire con grande verisimiglianza il profilo di quello che può ormai essere considerato come uno dei più grandi protagonisti del cinema italiano del secolo scorso.
Martone ha voluto raccontare il personaggio di Massimo Troisi soprattutto attraverso gli spezzoni di alcuni suoi film, rimontandoli in modo da consegnarci il ritratto di un uomo appassionato e innamorato della vita, apparentemente pigro, ma sempre impegnato nelle sue riflessioni e nei progetti, di cui amava prendere nota su fogli sparsi, poi sapientemente raccolti dalla donna che lavorava e viveva con lui.
Un uomo molto concentrato sull’analisi delle emozioni e delle relazioni umane, e che, tuttavia, non perdeva mai di vista il racconto politico e sociale della realtà cui dava magistralmente voce.
