Comete intervista il famoso giornalista sportivo Francesco Marolda sul libro di Tommaso Mandato
Venerdì 13 maggio si è aperto “Libri in Reggia” il primo salone del libro organizzato dal Liceo Quinto Orazio Flacco in collaborazione col comune di Portici, con sede alla Reggia di Portici. Una manifestazione della cultura a 360°, che pone al centro dell’attenzione i libri e speriamo possa durare a lungo anche negli anni a seguire. Proprio il primo giorno, si sono tenuti i saluti della porticese Nunzia Schiano, la conversazione con l’avvocato e opinionista televisivo Tommaso Mandato e i giornalisti Francesco Marolda e Massimo Iaquilangelo sul libro “Il centravanti in giacca e cravatta”
Un libro brillante, che racconta la storia di Mandato col pallone ed è stato ritenuto geniale dallo stesso Marolda. Una presentazione impreziosita dalla scoppiettante lettura da parte di Nunzia Schiano, l’attrice porticese ex allieva del Flacco fresca del successo tv come governante del commissario Ricciardi, ultima fortunata serie tv di Maurizio De Giovanni. Ciccio Marolda si è poi reso disponibile per rispondere, dopo una veloce presentazione, alle nostre domande.
“Come ci viene detto nel libro, Tommaso Mandato ha subito un tunnel da Maradona in una partita di beneficenza ad Acerra; cosa si prova in quel momento?”
“Subire un tunnel da Maradona in un contesto del genere è stata un’emozione forte. Il tunnel in quel caso non è un’umiliazione, ma quasi una medaglia, da raccontare ai tuoi nipoti; in quel momento è come tornare ragazzino con il tuo idolo.”
Ha poi proseguito raccontandoci un particolare aneddoto con Nando Orsi, suo amico, ex-portiere della Lazio: “Sono molto amico suo; lui subì un pallonetto da Maradona da 40 m e dice di essere ricordato più per quello che per tutta la carriera, quasi come un timbro.”
Gli abbiamo poi chiesto: “Nel libro il protagonista afferma di essere un ragazzo del liceo classico, ma anche un giocatore di pallone; che consiglio dareste ai ragazzi di oggi su come conciliare entrambe le cose?”
“Intanto non bisogna mai tralasciare lo studio; poi conciliare si può, rinunciando magari un po’ agli amici e alle ragazze. D’altronde non è detto che nello studio si debbano per forza prendere tutti 10.”
Sempre in merito a ciò che è raccontato nel libro, gli abbiamo rivolto questa domanda: “Giocare nel Portici quanto gli ha trasmesso (riferito a Tommaso Mandato) sia a livello calcistico che umanitario?”
“Io penso gli abbia trasmesso tanto, anche perché è nato e si è formato lì; ha avuto anche la fortuna di trovare dei dirigenti nel Portici che erano delle persone perbene; oggi invece il calcio si appropria dei ragazzi cercando di guadagnare: questa è la differenza che si fa fra pallone e calcio: il pallone è la passione che ti porti fin da bambino, il calcio invece appartiene a coloro che fanno business e soldi. Sembrano due cose simili ma non lo sono.”
Infine gli abbiamo fatto un’ultima domanda: “Come la pensa Francesco Marolda e come la pensa anche Tommaso Mandato in “Il centravanti in giacca e cravatta”, su come è cambiato il calcio dagli anni ‘80/’90 ad oggi?”
“È tutt’altra cosa: prima i club vivevano di piccole cose, quali la passione della gente, perché c’era soltanto un incasso che veniva dagli spettatori, infatti il Napoli ha vinto i suoi scudetti quando gli stadi erano sempre pieni e quando i diritti televisivi non esistevano, oggi invece si insegue più il ritorno economico che quello sportivo; dico solo un’ultima cosa: la bruttura del calcio italiano è che non si gioca più per vincere, ma per arrivare fra i primi 4 e quest’anno noi più di tutti ne abbiamo avuto la prova.”
