A quasi cinquant’anni dal delitto del Circeo, la produzione cinematografica tutta italiana viene ‘aperta’ solo ai maggiorenni: la reazione della produzione e il verdetto della critica.

La produzione ha ovviamente contestato questa misura: l’appello aperto al ministro Franceschini, quasi immediato, recita letteralmente: ‘si deve porre fine alla censura degli artisti’ e che il film. Molto più forte è la frase di Roberto Sessa, produttore (“Non pensavo che questo paese fosse ancora al Medioevo”); lo stesso regista afferma che “un ragazzo e una ragazza di oggi siano perfettamente capaci di distinguere il bene e il male senza qualcuno che gli nasconda la verità, con la scusa di proteggerli”. La critica lo giudica comunque un film da vedere, sviluppato sul filone della scuola e della famiglia, con più prospettive. Contesto della vicenda, l’ambiente chiuso della Roma borghese del 1975 e di un massacro che, seppur chiuso in una bolla del secolo scorso, è comunque riconducibile a non pochi eventi della cronaca nera italiana. Il dibattito sul limite d’età è certamente ancora in corso mentre gli ottimi giudizi fioccano, tra chi sostiene che i giovani debbano conoscere e chi, invece, grida all’esagerazione.
