CAPRI-NAPOLI: LA STORICA GARA DI NUOTO DI FONDO RITORNA DOMANI NELLE ACQUE DEL GOLFO DI NAPOLI
È giunta alla 56ª edizione la Capri-Napoli (denominata per motivi di sponsorizzazione “Trofeo Farmacosmo”). È la prova regina del nuoto di fondo e la più antica del circuito internazionale che anche quest’anno assegnerà la Coppa del Mondo di specialità. La gara, in programma domenica 5 settembre sulla distanza di 36 km dal lido “Le Ondine” di Capri al “Circolo Canottieri Napoli”, vedrà presenti 28 nuotatori con 8 nazioni rappresentate, tra i quali 16 uomini e 12 donne. Tra gli uomini spiccano gli esordi di Simone Ruffini e del francese Axel Raimond, iridato in carica sulla stessa distanza avendo vinto i mondiali 2017 e 2019. Ritorna in gara anche il vincitore del 2020: l’olandese Marcel Schouten. Tra gli italiani figurano anche Edoardo Stochino, Alessio Occhipinti, Francesco Bettini e Riccardo Chiara, e tra le donne occhi puntati su Barbara Pozzobon che cerca il tris dopo i trionfi del 2018 e del 2019. Ancora una volta sarà assegnato il premio CONI, intitolato alla memoria di Giulio Travaglio, che sarà consegnato al migliore italiano in classifica generale.
