Dopo solo poche settimane dalla sua uscita, Luca è già il film Disney Pixar più apprezzato dell’anno. Come scenario per le vicende del protagonista e degli altri personaggi è stata scelta la Liguria, regione famosa per i luoghi paradisiaci che mette in risalto diverse caratteristiche tipiche della penisola italiana. Luca- il protagonista- è un mostro marino che assieme al suo amico Alberto decide di andare oltre i limiti imposti dalla sua famiglia e di salire in superficie. Qui ad aspettarlo c’è un mondo tutto nuovo che lo porterà a compiere un percorso di crescita individuale e che gli farà provare per la prima volta l’ebbrezza di vivere. Ad accompagnare Luca e il suo amico Alberto in quest’avventura è una semplice vespa che, nata dopo la seconda guerra mondiale, è stata considerata per anni il simbolo della rinascita e della libertà. I due ragazzini, nutriti da una sana curiosità, si addentrano nei luoghi più suggestivi della regione, portandoci ad ammirare e addirittura ad apprezzare la bellezza da cui siamo circondati.
Luca cerca di nobilitare il valore dell’amicizia semplice e genuina che caratterizza gli anni della giovinezza in cui la spensieratezza e la curiosità hanno il predominio. Ed è proprio per questo motivo che il film ha riscontrato successo anche tra il pubblico adulto: Luca e il suo amico Alberto, infatti, sono riusciti a catapultare i più grandi nella loro giovinezza e hanno fatto ricordare loro delle esperienze e dei sogni nel cassetto che tutti hanno conosciuto.
Insomma, Luca è un film adatto a tutti che, con la sua leggerezza e la sua semplicità, riesce ad arrivare perfettamente al cuore degli spettatori di ogni età. In quest’ennesimo capolavoro della Disney si percepisce anche una volontà del regista di trasmettere un messaggio ben preciso: ‘‘bisogna andare oltre la superfice’’ e superare i propri limiti per raggiungere la conoscenza del mondo che ci circonda.
