Gli spettacoli organizzati dall’INDA (Istituto Nazionale del Dramma Antico) hanno esordito quest’anno, nel teatro greco di Siracusa, con una rappresentazione de Il prometeo incatenato di Eschilo, caratterizzato da una scenografia mai vista prima: le parole del V secolo a. C. si sono adattate a lamine di ferro, binari della ferrovia,
pannelli mobili, rimorchi e botole, e la celebre roccia della Scizia si è trasformata in un’alta
inferriata arrugginita, decorata di acciaio e bulloni. Una scelta artistica interessante e
innovativa quella di rappresentare i confini aridi della Terra con un paesaggio così urbano e
metallico, riportando le stesse sensazioni inospitali che all’epoca venivano ricercate per poi essere
messe in scena. Ma non è questo l’unico punto forte della rappresentazione: il coro, le Oceanidi
rappresentate da ben diciannove ragazze, era mobile e suggestivo, ballerino. Loro stesse
sembravano quasi parte della scenografia, del movimento. Molti e significativi i dettagli volutamente
anacronistici, come un Hermes vestito totalmente in pelle o un Efesto che si sposta su binari
ferroviari. Punta di diamante un Prometeo con doti attoriali formidabili e ricco del
pathos giusto per rappresentare uno dei pilastri della tragedia greca: immaginare tutto questo dà la
visione perfetta di quello che da ormai anni riesce a portare sui palchi l’INDA, coinvolgendo scuole
da tutta Italia. Ma per quanto il protagonista e il coro siano stati magistrali, e per quanto l’uso delle
musiche e della lingua greca sia stato a regola d’arte, la standing ovation finale è stata riservata a
un altro personaggio: quello di Io, voluta da Zeus e maledetta da Hera, che ha fatto il suo ingresso
in scena direttamente dagli spalti, scomparendo poi nello stesso modo, e fornendo
un’interpretazione da prima classe della sua forma animalesca. La sua voce e le sue battute hanno
dominato la platea, portandola a un silenzio immobile nel tempo, un silenzio che ha trasportato lo
spettatore, durante quelle scene, a delle storie che non sono mai sembrate così vicine e palpabili.
